The Aberdeen and District Members' Centre has been in existence for more than 40 years. Its membership stands at more than 290. The Centre draws its support from Aberdeen city and the surrounding districts.

The Centre organises a varied programme of evening and afternoon lectures, social evenings and day excursions within and outwith the Region. In addition the Members' Centre gives financial and practical support to Drum Castle and Castle Fraser. Evening lectures are held in Aberdeenshire Cricket Club while afternoon lectures are held in the Maritime Museum. The programme for February to July 2017 is given below.

Evening meetings are held in Aberdeenshire Cricket Club, Manofield and afternoon meetings in the Aberdeen Maritime Museum unless otherwise stated

Wednesday 22 February 2017, 2.00pm
"Digging Deep: ecology, soil science and archaeology in forensic case work", a talk by Professor Lorna Dawson at Aberdeen Maritime Museum.
Thursday 23 March, 7.30pm
AGM at Aberdeenshire Cricket Club, followed by "Cruising Dubai to Singapore", a talk by Finlay McKichan.
Wednesday 24 May
Guided walk in the Duthie Park Winter Gardens, with afternoon tea.
Friday 2 June to Monday 5 June
Holiday – "Castles and Gardens of the Far North". Please contact Brightwater Holidays Ltd and ask for details of Aberdeen and District Members’ Centre holiday.
Saturday 1 July
Day excursion to Angus (note amended date), including visits to House of Dun, Montrose Air Station Heritage Centre and Edzell Castle. Details from Finlay McKichan.

Events are organised for Aberdeen and District Members' Centre members only. Other members of the National Trust for Scotland are very welcome to attend the lecture meetings as an introduction to the Centre. There is a charge for guests attending lecture meetings.
