Supporting the National Trust for Scotland for 50 years
The Edinburgh Members' Centre was formed in 1974 and draws its membership mainly from the greater Edinburgh
area. The Centre offers a full and varied programme of events
in both winter and summer. The activities include :-
- Winter and spring meetings which are held in Augustine United Church, which is located at 41-43 George IV Bridge, Edinburgh, EH1 1EL on Thursdays at 2:30 pm or 7:30pm unless otherwise notified. These usually involve an illustrated talk on a wide range of topics many related to National Trust for Scotland interests etc.
A hearing indiction loop is available at the venue.
- Non-members are welcome to the lectures for a donation of £3 per person at the door (Refundable if you join the Centre).
Booking is not required.
- Between April and October the Centre organises for our memebrs half and full-day, evening and overnight visits to a diverse range of both NTS and non-NTS properties and places of interest.
In 2024 visits are planned to Chester; Kittochside; Falkland Palace; Glamis Castle; The Hill House; Culzean Castle; & Berwick-Upon-Tweed.
- Although booking on visits is open only to Centre members, we welcome non-members who accompany a member.
- A programme of guided urban walks is offered to Centre Members between April and October in Fife, Dalkeith, Glasgow & Edinburgh.
Membership of the Centre is open to NTS/NT members at £9 per year or £17 for two persons at the same address. Admission to meetings is free to Centre members. Suggested donation of £3 for guests.
